On March 11, 2025, the Malaysian Technology Development Corporation (MTDC) hosted the "Business Engagement Session 2025". The event invited representatives from the BRI Cross Cultural Center (ACEC-BRICC), UiTM's Institute of Continuing Education & Professional Studies (iCEPS), and approximately 10 technology enterprises. Focused on industry-academia-research collaboration, the session aimed to drive industrial upgrading and talent development, injecting new momentum into technological innovation cooperation.

The engagement session brought together 10 Malaysian technology companies specializing in smart weather detection systems, smart home systems, enterprise management system development, and integration. Representatives from these companies engaged in in-depth discussions with UiTM iCEPS leadership on technological research and development, commercialization of research outcomes, and market applications. In his speech, the Head of Technology Ecosystem Development Business Division, MTDC stated, "Over the past 33 years, MTDC has been committed to transforming university technologies into market value. We hope this session will accelerate the integration of Malaysian SMEs into the technology innovation chain."

As Malaysia's first government-backed investment center, MTDC has long supported SMEs in technology adoption through its TENTRA and Co9P. According to MTDC data, its ecosystem enterprises have collectively generated 700 intellectual property assets and over RM 7 billion in revenue. This collaboration is expected to add new momentum to these achievements.
